Splicing
A method to avoid running out of parts by connecting the next reel to the end of the reel containing the parts.
The old and new reels (carrier tape) are connected to each other with joint tape.
The machine takes parts from the reels and mounts them on the board.
Therefore, production can be continued without stopping the device for reel replacement.
