Molding
The process of placing a semiconductor chip on a substrate (lead frame, polyimide, etc.) and connecting the semiconductor chip or chip to the substrate terminals with gold (Ag, Cu, or Al) wire, and then encapsulating the surrounding area with resin such as epoxy to protect the product from factors such as shock, temperature, and humidity.
