GEM(読み方:General Equipment Model)

Abbreviation for General Equipment Model (GEM).
A communication protocol for connecting a host computer to semiconductor manufacturing equipment to remotely monitor and control the equipment status.
It is specified in the SEMI Standard and is called a comprehensive model for communication and control of manufacturing system.
It is generally used in semiconductor production lines.
